Rubia Pathan earned her Bachelors of Physiotherapy from Suresh Brahmakumar Bhatt College of physiotherapy of Ahmedabad, India, in 2012. She has worked as a Pediatric and Orthopedic Physiotherapist in India. With a dream to explore more in the international physiotherapy field, Rubia traveled to Canada in 2014. She arrived unfamiliar with the Canadian healthcare system and Canadian culture, so she took diploma program (PTA) at Conestoga College prior to completing the Canadian licensing exam. She was working in a multidisciplinary sports therapy clinic in Ontario before moving to Edmonton.
She is passionate about treating a variety of orthopaedic, sport-related injuries, post surgical rehabilitation conditions, motor vehicle accidents, work related incidents, Pelvic Floor therapy and Vestibular rehabilitation. Her goal is to provide a tailored approach to individual patient by educating and incorporating their goals, expectations and abilities to help them achieve a pain free and healthy lifestyle. She places a high priority on continuing education and be updated on evidence-based approach. She is also the team member of Alberta clinical exam. Apart from work Rubia loves spending time in mountains. She loves to go for a hiking, camping. She also enjoys cooking, yoga, biking, spending time with her family.
